At Drumderrig House Nursing Home, we are guided by a home-from-home philosophy. The happiness of the people in our care is paramount and it’s why we take the time to get to know our residents, determining likes, dislikes and preferences – whether they like to take a glass of wine with dinner, or would prefer their own bedroom. Guests can be received at any reasonable hour, residents are free to contact friends and relatives whenever they choose, and we welcome all denominations.
From a medical perspective, a team of experienced nurses and caregivers means we can provide care for elderly people with a variety of needs including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care and palliative care. Every resident has a tailor-made care plan. This is devised on arrival in the company of a relative or chosen representative. In as far as possible, it is the individual who decides how they wish to live and be cared for.
“Our aim is to enhance the quality of life of our residents. We achieve this by embracing all aspects of health and social care in an environment that’s been designed and equipped to provide first-class care in a homely setting.”
